Privacy Policy

To plan and run your trip we need some personal information, such as your name, travel dates and passport details. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have. We only ask for what we need, and we never sell your data.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your questions and prepare quotes and itineraries, because you asked us to.
  • To book and deliver your tour, including hotels, desert camps, drivers, guides, activities and transport, as part of our contract with you.
  • To take payments, issue invoices and keep accounting records, because the law requires it.
  • To keep you safe on tour and handle emergencies, which is in your vital interest.
  • To ask for feedback or a review after your trip and, only if you agree, to send occasional news. You can say no at any time.
  • To run, secure and improve this website.

Information about health, such as allergies or mobility needs, is sensitive. We use it only with your consent and only to look after you on tour.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs to provide your service:

  • Hotels, riads and desert camps, drivers, licensed local guides and activity providers on your itinerary.
  • Train companies, airlines and ferry operators when we book tickets for you.
  • Payment providers: your bank and ours (Banque Centrale Populaire) and PayPal.
  • Technology providers that host our website, email and messaging, including WordPress.com and Jetpack (Automattic), Google (Gmail) and WhatsApp.
  • Booking platforms such as Viator or Tripadvisor, if you booked through them, under their own privacy policies.
  • Public authorities, only when the law requires it. Hotels in Morocco must register guest passport details with the police.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

5. Transfers outside Morocco

Some of our technology providers store data outside Morocco, for example in the United States or the European Union. When you book with us from abroad, your data also travels between your country and Morocco. We use well known providers with strong security and take the steps the law requires for these transfers.

6. Cookies and website analytics

This website is hosted on WordPress.com. It uses cookies that are needed for the site to work, and statistics tools from Jetpack that count visits and show which pages are popular. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work for browsing. If we add advertising or other tracking tools in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent where required.

7. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to two years, so we can answer if you come back to us.
  • Booking, payment and invoice records: for as long as Moroccan accounting and tax law requires.
  • Passport and flight details: until your trip is completed, plus the time needed for any claim or legal obligation.
  • Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.

8. How we protect it

Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to organise your trip. We use password protected accounts, and we ask partners to keep your data confidential. No system is perfectly secure, so please send passport copies only when we ask for them, by email or WhatsApp.

9. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your data, unless we must keep it by law.
  • Stop using your data for a purpose you object to, including any marketing.
  • Withdraw consent you have given, without affecting what was done before.

To use any of these rights, write to info@uniquelymorocco.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the CNDP in Morocco, or to the data protection authority in your own country if you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom.

10. Children

We collect information about children only when a parent or guardian books a family trip and gives it to us, for example for hotel rooms, child seats or tickets.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date below shows the latest version. Please also read our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
